This week I publicized our upcoming book fair. We have a selection of books coming from Scholastic Books. The books will arrive on Friday, September 19th and I will set up the fair. The official opening is Monday, September 22. Each of the classes will visit to hear a story or two and have time to browse. Parents are encouraged to visit, especially during the PTO Picnic in the Park on September 26. The fair will move from the library to the gym for that event.
Watch for comments from the students about the books they like. The signs and the video have already generated lots of excitement about the Dinosaur Cove series, and the kids were abuzz when a shots of Star Wars and Pokemon books lit up the screen.

WOW! We had a great book fair! Our top selling books were "The Ultimate Pokemon Handbook," "Princess" (from the Puppy Place series) and "The Clone Wars: The New Padawan."
Special thanks to the teachers who helped before and after school to earn books for the classroom and to the PTO members who helped with the sale on Friday morning and again during the PTO Picnic in the Park.
